The following collection of Jamey Aebersold books for budding jazz musicians are priced according to condition.  Some were gifts from my sister, others were "inherited" from friends who left them to me.  I use Amazon.ca and Cosmo Music in Toronto as my pricing guides.  Two are brand new with CD's, in gifting condition; you save the tax, and the shipping cost if you are a neighbour.  Others are only a little worn from use, but have the corresponding CD's.  If you can't see the photo well, I'll send you a larger photo or a link.

Three copies.  One $15 brand new, gifting condition; two used $12 and $10, CD's included (new $23.50)

Brand new, gifting condition, $12 ($20.95 retail)

Buy in time to play for Christmas, $10 (barely used; new $20.95)

Hardly any wear, double CD set included, $16 (new $26.29)

Hardly any wear, CD included, $12 (new $22.95)

Slight wear, CD included, $8 (new $12.57)

"Transcribed comping from Volume 64", no CD, $8 (new $14.50)

1001 Jazz Licks for treble clef instruments, very good condition - was $18.95 at Scarborough Music.  $10 from me.

Brand new, with CD still in a special sealed envelope.  All the pieces and examples inside the book are on the CD, for the student to study and play along.  This book costs $22.66 CAD at SheetMusicPlus; the original retail sticker on mine shows that it was bought at Dave Snider's music store for $23.95.  Yours for $12.

Chase Sanborn's popular book for up and coming brass players, Brass Tactics.  I see these on Amazon.ca now for bizarre prices, (seriously? $391.72 for a new one and $208.72 for a used one?  who pays those prices?)  but apparently you can buy one used for $27.97 CAD plus $6.49 for shipping, so I'll offer mine for $20 cash at my front door.  If you can buy mine and resell it at a profit, more power to you.

For serious working musicians, and those who want to be: each of these New Real Books say $42 (U.S.) on the cover but sell for over $50 apiece in Canada on Amazon.ca.  I'll sell them for $25 each individually but would prefer to sell them as a set, $60 for all three.  They are all the C and Vocal version.

This set of fake books for Bb trumpet and tenor sax has a 646 jazz standards, and includes CD's with play along tracks in both general midi and "band-in-a-box" formats. $30 for the pair.

Hal Leonard volume 133 Guitar Play-Along with CD, Taylor Swift's hits, good condition, was $17 plus tax new at Steve's Music.  Would be exciting for any young guitarist who likes Taylor Swift and her song catalogue.  Yours for a $10 bill, CD included. Or you can order the same book on eBay.ca for $22.79 CAD, for a total of $45 once you pay for shipping.  (Or you can pick it up at my house and sell it on eBay yourself, and double your money...so it's actually an investment.)

Do you know anyone who wants to develop chops on a baritone, for a school band or a New Orleans or Dixieland style street band?  There's huge value packed into my brand new version of this book.  Mine is the 2000 Plus version, which includes
  • play-along CD and a DVD
  • the CD includes tempo-adjustment software for the
  • 185 play-along tracks,
  • SmartMusic software,
  • Finale Notepad software for learning basic notation,
  • duets and trios that you can print and play along with friends, and a
  • "music listening library" of great pieces for band.
This is chockablock with features.  It costs $9.99 U.S. these days, or $14.95 CAD, plus tax and shipping in either case.  Mine is available for $8 CAD (I saw another one on Kijiji for the same price), still brand new with both CD and DVD.

Piano for Dummies, with audio CD, like new, only $10.
